Know your hair Type

With the onset of hot summer, temperature has taken a sudden leap and like skin your hairs also need the best care. But before this do you know your hair type. Do you know what kind of special care your hair need? Is having a good shampoo hair bath and applying conditioner is enough for your hair to be healthy, beautiful and lustrous. Having health and beautiful locks basically depends upon our awareness about your hair types. We usually tend to buy any shampoo and conditioner from market without exactly knowing what our hairs requirement is actually which in long term causes thinning of hair, fussy and messy hair, dandruff etc. If you have fair knowledge of your hair type, you will have better idea about what should you do with your hair and what should you need to avoid. Basically depending on their texture locks are of three types:

Dry Hair :

Well dry hairs are most difficult hair to manage. When oil glands of the hairs stop producing oil then it attributed to the dry hairs. In some cases oil accumulates block the pores resisting oil to flow on the surface. Over exposure to sun, extreme weather condition like cold and hot weather, excessive use of chemicals, shampoo, electrical appliances and colouring agents tend to wash out the natural oil of the hair and make them look rough and messy.

Preventive Measures
  • If you have dry hair then makes it a regimen to apply oil twice a week before hair wash.
  • Include diet which is rich in protein and zinc .
  • Make sure that shampoo, moisturizer and conditioner you are applying on hair have normal pH balance.
  • Don’t use artificial mean for drying up your hairs. Avoid hair dryers and curlers

Oily hair :

Oily hairs require lot of care as they attract dirt and dust very easily. Oily hairs usually attributed to the hyper active oil glands which accompanies with oily skin and greasy hair. Maintain oil balance is big challenge for person having oily hair.

Preventive Measures 
  • Rinse hair frequently as much as possible because it helps you to shed extra hair.
  • You can also use lemon for washing purpose.
  • Eat balance diet, have lot of water, green vegetables and avoid extra oil and ghee in the food.
  • Use herbal oil and shampoos rich in neem & heena.
  • Multani mitti once a week is also very effective as it helps you to maintain your tresses oil balance.

Normal Hair :

People having normal hairs are blessed. Normal hairs are supposed to be best as they are neither too oily nor too dry. Normal hairs have just right balance of oil.

They are usually well balance, shining and don’t dry out. Person having normal hair are just only need to take proper care of locks

Preventive Measures
  • Have balance diet and drink lot of water.
  • Use mild shampoo and conditioner with right pH balance.
  • As far as possible use scarf or hat whenever go outside
